Rayne A. Brown
Rayne A. Brown is an associate attorney with Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin’s Employment & Labor practice group. A versatile and passionate advocate, Rayne represents employers in a diverse range of employment litigation matters, including wage and hour, retaliation, harassment, and discrimination disputes. Her litigation strategy is enriched by her prior experience representing plaintiff employees in both individual and representative actions, lending Rayne a unique capacity to achieve exceptional results for her clients.
Rayne attended the University of San Diego School of Law on a merit-based scholarship and earned her Juris Doctor in May 2021. As a law student, she served as both the Community Service Chair and the Co-Vice President of the Black Law Students Association, as well as the Student Bar Association Representative for the Immigration Law Society. Rayne participated actively in pro bono opportunities, providing free legal services to low-income clients through USD’s Women’s Clinic and Civil Clinic, and the American Bar Association’s Immigration Justice Program. Rayne also interned for one year with the Consumer Protection Policy Center, where she co-authored and published two reports on the activities of the Department of Managed Health Care in the California Regulatory Law Reporter.
Prior to attending law school, Rayne received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish from the University of San Diego. As an undergraduate student, Rayne served as the Events Coordinator of the Black Student Union. She was also a McNair Scholar and presented various graduate-level papers at academic conferences on modern American literature.
