What’s on the Agenda?
SESSION I – Employment Law Update (Lunch Will Be provided)
What happened in 2013 and what you need to know to be prepared for 2014. The morning session will include a discussion with guest speakers Jared Nichols and Michael Sinkeldam of Mercer Health and Benefits, who will report on the Affordable Health Care Act. Other topics include:

  • Wage & Hour Issues and Updates
  • Recent trends in Discrimination, Harassment & Retaliation Claims
  • Navigating Complex Leave of Absence and Disability Issues

SESSION II – Required AB 1825 Sexual Harassment Avoidance Training
This training session will examine recent developments in harassment law with particular emphasis on detecting, addressing, and preventing concerns to avoid potential liability.

Who Should Attend?
This seminar is designed for human resource managers, controllers, accountants, office managers, payroll professionals, finance directors, presidents, vice presidents, CFOs, operations managers, and small business owners.

This program has been approved for 6.25 credit hours (for both sessions) toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute.

When and Where is this Seminar Located?
This annual employment law symposium will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at the Hilton San Diego Resort (Mission Bay). Registration/check-in and continental breakfast will begin at 7:30 AM with the first session starting at 8:30 AM.

  • Both Session I & II – $175/per person before October 26th ($200 after)
    Session I price includes free admission to Session II
  • Session I (ONLY) – Employment Law Update – $175/per person before October 26th ($200 after)
  • Session II (ONLY) – Sexual Harassment Avoidance Training – $50/per person
