Pettit Kohn Participates in Feeding America’s “Food From the Bar” Program
During the month of May, Pettit Kohn Ingrassia and Lutz joined the annual “Food from the Bar” program presented by Feeding America. The goal was to donate funds and food for children in need of meals in San Diego County and most importantly raise awareness of children facing hunger in our local area. Hunger doesn’t take a summer vacation when school food programs do. During the summer months, thousands of children lose access to school breakfast and lunch programs, a critical source of nutrition for their development. Feeding America’s, Food from the Bar competition provides much needed funds and awareness to ensure that the children and families can get the nutrition they need to live healthy and productive lives during the summer months.
Pettit Kohn was excited to join the competition between 10 other law firms in San Diego County for a great cause. Pettit Kohn employees rallied to bring in food donations, contribute to the personal fundraising page and volunteer their time at the food bank in Sorrento Valley. All the firms combined raised $24,028 and 2,662 pounds of food which equates to 98,330 meals for children in San Diego.
Thank you to all that contributed to this event and we look forward to participating again next year!
