Pettit Kohn Shareholder, Cassandra Mougin Helps Victim of Human Trafficking
Pettit Kohn Shareholder, Cassandra Mougin donated more than fifty pro bono hours preparing a visa application for a Casa Cornelia client that was a victim of human trafficking. Cassandra has been nominated for the Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for Pro Bono Legal Services of the California State Bar Association. This award was created in 1989 to recognize the contributions of the many lawyers, law students, paralegals, and secretaries in California who volunteer their time and expertise on behalf of low-income clients.
Casa Cornelia Law Center is a public interest law firm providing quality pro bono legal services to victims of human and civil rights violations. The center has a primary commitment to the indigent within the immigrant community in southern California. Casa Cornelia strives to educate other regarding the impact of immigration law and policy on society and the public good.
