Pettit Kohn Los Angeles Volunteers at Local Food Bank
For the second year in a row, the Los Angeles team of Pettit Kohn Ingrassia & Lutz volunteered at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank assembling food bags that are distributed to over 300,000 seniors, disadvantaged families, and women with children in Los Angeles County every month. “At Pettit Kohn we believe in giving back to the community through a variety of support and outreach opportunities,” said John Durant, Chief Operating Officer of the firm. “The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is an extraordinary nonprofit organization and our team was honored to volunteer and help fight hunger in our community.”
Since 1973, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank helps to mobilize resources to address hunger needs in the community. In 2016 they distributed 55 million meals – that’s more than 62 million pounds of food. Twenty percent of that food is fresh produce. The volunteers help provide food for thousands of hungry people each week by packing boxes of donated food. Their vision is that no one goes hungry in Los Angeles.
