Amanda Schwartz is an associate attorney at Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz and Dolin’s San Diego location.  She specializes in professional liability defense and business litigation matters.  Amanda has extensive experience with pre-litigation and litigation stages of a dispute.

Amanda was born and raised in San Diego, California.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of California, San Diego, where she graduated cum laude.  After UCSD, Amanda attended California Western School of Law where she was awarded a full academic merit scholarship for each year and graduated in the top 2.5%.  While attending law school, Amanda worked as a law clerk for the San Diego City Attorney’s Office in the Civil and Criminal Divisions where she placed first in the office’s Law Clerk Closing Argument Competition.  At California Western, she served on the board of the California Western Law Review as the Executive Editor.
Amanda received invaluable experience with the federal court system when she externed for the Honorable William V. Gallo, a magistrate judge for the United States District Court, Southern Division.  Amanda excels in her legal writing, research, and advocacy, having received Academic Excellence Awards in her second-year legal writing course, Advanced Legal Research, and Trial
Practice.  Amanda served as a teaching assistant for Civil Procedure and Constitutional Law during her second and third year of law school.

Currently, Amanda enjoys participating in legal organizations such as the San Diego County Bar Association and the Lawyers Club of San Diego.  She is an active member of the Welsh Inn of Court in San Diego.  Prior to joining Pettit Kohn, she worked as an associate attorney focusing on litigating personal injury and sexual assault matters.
