Ruby Carlon

Ruby is an associate attorney in Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin’s San Diego office, focusing on a wide range of employment litigation matters.

Ruby received her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law. She served as a Comment Editor of the San Diego International Law Journal, where she authored the article “Labor Rights Under the USMCA: Progress, Shortcomings, and the Road Ahead” (May 2025). She was also Co-Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Student Advisory Group, and Mentorship Director of the First-Generation Legal Professionals club. Ruby also worked as a Teaching Fellow for Property Law and held two judicial externships, one with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California and one with the California Supreme Court’s Criminal Central Staff.

Before law school, Ruby graduated from Brandeis University with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics. Outside of work, she enjoys running, reading, and baking.
