Kym Kanenaka is an associate in Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin’s Los Angeles office. Her practice is primarily focused on transportation litigation matters and defending corporate clients against general liability claims.

Kym earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa William S. Richardson School of Law. During law school, Kym served as an extern for the Honorable Jill A. Otake, United States District Court, District of Hawai’i. In addition, Kym completed several other externships at the Office of the Public Defender on O’ahu and the Superior Court of California in Burbank. Upon graduation, Kym worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Shirley M. Kawamura, O’ahu First Circuit Court. Prior to law school, she attended Loyola Marymount University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics.

Before joining Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin, Kym worked as an associate at a personal injury firm in Pasadena, where she represented plaintiffs.  During this experience, Kym had the incredible opportunity to second chair a trial.

Kym is licensed to practice law in the state of California and Hawaii.
