Pettit Kohn Helps Fight Hunger at Feeding San Diego

Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin team members recently volunteered their time at the Feeding San Diego facility in Mira Mesa to impact and help fight hunger in San Diego.  Together with other leaders and members of the community, they sorted through produce donated from the California Association of Food Banks and other local donors to be redistributed to families in need.  Volunteer efforts are in support of the Food from the Bar campaign, which is an annual fundraising effort led by members of the legal community to benefit Feeding San Diego and provide nutritious meals to children at risk of hunger.

1 in 6 children in San Diego County are at risk of hunger.  Fundraising efforts are especially beneficial during summer months when these children lose access to their school’s breakfast and lunch programs.  Through their numerous hunger-relief initiatives, Feeding San Diego provides thousands of families with access to food and nutritious meals.  Feeding San Diego helps to spread public awareness on issues of food insecurity, nutrition, and poverty and they work tirelessly to realize their vision of eradicating hunger in San Diego.
