Grant Waterkotte and Tristan Mullis Successful at Trial

On March 28, 2017, Pettit Kohn Ingrassia & Lutz Shareholder, Grant Waterkotte and Senior Counsel Tristan Mullis secured a major trial victory on behalf of a wrongfully terminated employee.  Following a week-long trial, the jury ruled that a long time administrative employee at a medical office had been illegally terminated based on her age, disability, and her request for medical accommodations. Mr. Waterkotte and his team disproved successfully the doctor’s justification for the firing as meritless pretext.  Prior to the trial, Pettit Kohn successfully fended off the opposing counsel’s motion for summary judgment that threatened to dismiss the entire case before it could be taken to a jury. In the end the jury awarded nearly $300,000 in recovery for her losses.  The Motion is still pending and Pettit Kohn is entitled to all attorney fees.
