Pettit Kohn Employees Distribute Food Travel Bags to Local Military

On December 19th, 2015, Pettit Kohn Ingrassia & Lutz employees volunteered in conjunction with The USO and Pepperdine University Alumni Association in the annual San Diego military Waves of Appreciation Event.  Volunteers from Pettit Kohn helped distribute over 5,000 food travel bags with notes of appreciation and gratitude from San Diego non-profit groups to all active military traveling home for the holidays through the San Diego Lindbergh Field International Airport.

San Diego acts as a temporary home for many military men and women stationed at Camp Pendleton, Miramar, and Coronado just to name a few. Every year, an estimated 5,000 service members travel back home for the holidays on commercial flights from the San Diego Airport.  Food prices while traveling can be high and finding the time between flights to eat is sometimes difficult.  Waves of Appreciation aims to provide food to keep the service members from going hungry and express gratitude for their service.

For the fourth year in a row, Pettit Kohn was proud to sponsor this event and give back to the men and women that volunteer to serve in our nation’s military forces.
