Pettit Kohn Fights Childhood Hunger

Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin was proud to participate in Feeding San Diego’s Food from the Bar competition for the 3rd year in a row.  The competition challenges legal organizations throughout San Diego to band together to provide hunger relief by donating food, funds, and volunteer hours.

Pettit Kohn teammates raised close to $2,000 (the equivalent of 7,880 meals) and collectively volunteered 34 hours of their time to Feeding San Diego.  Pettit Kohn placed 3rd out of the 9 participating law firms, and the Food from the Bar program as a whole raised funds for a total of 51,120 meals.

1 in 6 children in San Diego County are at risk of hunger.  Fundraising efforts are especially beneficial during summer months when these children lose access to their school’s breakfast and lunch programs.  Through their numerous hunger-relief initiatives, Feeding San Diego provides thousands of families with access to food and nutritious meals.  Feeding San Diego helps to spread public awareness on issues of food insecurity, nutrition, and poverty and they work tirelessly to realize their vision of eradicating hunger in San Diego.
