Pettit Kohn Helps to Feed San Diego

Pettit Kohn Ingrassia & Lutz employees volunteered their time to Feeding San Diego – a non-profit organization that “is committed to solving hunger in our communities and informing the public on issues of food insecurity, nutrition and poverty.” Through the Food from the Bar campaign, Pettit Kohn along with other San Diego law organizations unite against hunger in their city.  Together with other members of the San Diego community, the group helped put together over 900 bags of food to be distributed to families and children in need.  This is Pettit Kohn’s second year in a row participating in the fight against hunger.

Feeding San Diego is one of the newest food banks in the Feeding America network, but has quickly grown since its founding in 2007 to become the leading hunger-relief organization in the county. 1 in 5 San Diego children are food insecure and the need for help is especially great during summer months when they lose access to their schools breakfast and lunch programs.  Through help from Pettit Kohn and the San Diego community as a whole, Feeding San Diego is able contribute to thousands of families in their quest for a hunger-free and healthy San Diego.
