Pettit Kohn Shareholders recognized as San Diego Business Journal’s SD500 Most Influential People in 2024
Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin is proud to announce that two of its Shareholders, Andrew Kohn and Douglas Pettit, have been honored by San Diego Business Journal as San Diego’s 500 Most Influential People in 2024.
Douglas Pettit is a founding shareholder in the San Diego office. He has extensive trial and litigation experience in the areas of civil litigation, business litigation, and professional liability. He has tried over 80 cases in California and his extraordinary record of favorable outcomes and exemplary client service has resulted in recognition by his peers over the years. 2024 marked the fourth year earning Best Lawyer’s “Lawyer of the Year” distinction, having been previously recognized in 2015, 2018, 2023, and 2024 for his work in Legal Malpractice Law – Defendants and Professional Malpractice Law – Defendants. Doug also was awarded the San Diego Defense Lawyer’s Lawyer of the Year Award in 2023. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers as one of the Top Ten lawyers among all attorneys in San Diego County for the last two years. He was inducted into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) in 2007 as the youngest member of the San Diego Chapter at the time. Doug also has been a guest lecturer at the University of San Diego School of Law and as Master in the Wallace Chapter of the American Inns of Court.
Andrew Kohn is a founding shareholder in the San Diego office. He has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin, PC since the firm’s inception in 2006. He has a wide range of civil litigation and trial experience, primarily in the fields of personal injury, business litigation, and products liability. He is involved with many local legal organizations, as well as alumni organizations affiliated with Harvard University and the University of Arizona. He is an Associate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), a premier national association of experienced trial attorneys and judges. He has tried more than 30 cases to verdict and has achieved Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating of AV Preeminent for his legal ability and ethical standards. He was named a finalist in the 2022 San Diego Business Journal’s annual CEO of the Year Awards. He has also been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America for 2019-2025, earning recognition for his work in Personal Injury Litigation Defense and Product Liability Litigation Defense.
