Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin Attorney Christine Dixon Elected President of San Diego Defense Lawyers
Christine Dixon, Associate Attorney at Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin, was sworn in as President of the San Diego Defense Lawyers Association at the organization’s 37th Annual Installation Gala on January 22nd, 2022, with nearly 200 in attendance (a smaller event than in years past due to COVID precautions). As president, Christine will preside over the 12-member board of directors which is composed of a cross-section of the defense bar, representing large and small defense firms. The board will uphold the organization’s mission and will also plan events, such as MCLE programs, the annual charity golf tournament, philanthropic events, and a highly regarded mock-trial competition that attracts teams from all over the country.
“I’m honored to be leading one of the largest defense organizations in the region,” said Dixon. “It’s a big commitment, but I know that our team can do something impactful for the organization and the legal community.”
Christine Dixon is a graduate of California Western School of Law and represents large and small corporate clients against claims involving personal injury and premises and product liability. Additionally, she handles a wide range of employment law matters, defending California employers in all aspects of litigation.
Joining Christine, fellow Pettit Kohn Associate Attorney Arash Yahyai was appointed to the San Diego Defense Lawyer’s board of directors where he will assist with supporting SDDL’s objectives. Arash is a graduate of the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and has extensive litigation experience defending clients in transportation, catastrophic injury, personal injury, and premises liability matters.
San Diego Defense Lawyers is one of the largest local defense organizations in the region with more than 300 members. Some of their objectives include providing a forum for education through the exchange of ideas with counsel in San Diego County, contributing service to the community, and maintaining the standards of professional conduct.
