The Jewish Federation Invites Rafael Sweet to Israel

Pettit Kohn attorney Rafael Sweet participated in a delegation to Israel as part of a group of Community Leaders hosted by the Jewish Federation. Rafael, who was selected as one of Latino Leaders Magazine’s Leaders of the Future, was a member of the group of 20 leaders, which included Edward James Olmos, KTLA legal commentator Manny Medrano, Nevada State Treasurer Kate Marshall, and many others who are influential through our nation’s communities.

The trip, which took place May 6-14, 2012, was to introduce non-Jewish leaders to Jewish culture and increase awareness of issues Israel is facing. The trip provided Rafael with first hand insight into Israeli politics, culture, economics, and the extensive history of the region as a whole. Some highlights of the trip include a visit to the Israeli Supreme Court, a visit to the Western Wall, and an excursion into Palestine.
