Pettit Kohn Proudly Supports the Waves of Appreciation

For the eighth year in a row, Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin partnered with the USO San Diego and the Pepperdine University Alumni Association (San Diego Waves) for the annual Waves of Appreciation Project.  Through this military support initiative, “Appreciation bags” are filled with food and snacks and are distributed to active-duty military who are traveling through San Diego during the holidays, many on their last trip home before deployment.  The project involved efforts by the Pettit Kohn team, their families, and members of the San Diego community, who volunteered their time to assemble and distribute thousands of bags to show appreciation for the service men and women this holiday season.

Waves of Appreciation was launched in 2011 by the USO San Diego and the Pepperdine University Alumni Association and included the assembly and distribution of 2,000 bags.  Each year this number has increased due to the growing support from the community.  In addition to the food items in the bags, Waves of Appreciation also collects Thank-You notes that can be mailed in by the public and add a personal touch to each bag.

“Each year, our firm looks forward to this program that supports the military and we are honored to have this opportunity to thank the men and women currently serving our country,” said Drew Kohn, Pettit Kohn’s CEO and one of the founding Shareholders. “It’s been tremendously gratifying for our team members to participate in this community project that supports the military.  We look forward to continuing our involvement and partnership with the San Diego USO in the years to come.”
