Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin Attorney Shannon Finley Honored With C. Hugh Friedman New Lawyer Award
Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin is proud to announce that Employment Attorney Shannon Finley has been honored by Lawyers Club of San Diego with the C. Hugh Friedman New Lawyer Award.
The C. Hugh Friedman New Lawyer Award was created in 2013 and is named for the late Professor C. Hugh Friedman. Professor Friedman was a charter Lawyers Club member who, among other contributions, suggested the name Lawyers Club for the organization, to indicate that the club is open to all who are committed to equal treatment under the law, regardless of gender. The C. Hugh Friedman New Lawyer Award recognizes a Lawyers Club member in practice seven years or fewer who has been a champion in advancing Lawyers Club’s mission and who has demonstrated leadership and professionalism within the San Diego legal community.
Ms. Finley is an associate with Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin and has successfully defended clients in the areas of employment and labor litigation and retail personal injury matters. Shannon is a highly active member in Lawyers Club of San Diego, where she was recently elected to the 2019-2020 Board of Directors. Currently, she serves as co-chair of the Women’s Advocacy Committee. Shannon also served as co-chair of the Law Student Outreach Committee and is an active member of numerous other committees, including those for Membership Development, Networking Events, Bench Bar, and Professional Advancement. Outside of Lawyers Club, Shannon is an associate member of the Honorable J. Clifford Wallace Inn of Court and currently serves as Member at Large for the San Diego County Bar Association Labor & Employment Executive committee. She is also an accomplished writer who has written for several publications, including articles for the Lawyers Club newsletter and most recently in the Employment Practices Liability Consultant, which is published by the International Risk Management Institute, Inc.
Shannon graduated cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, and went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. This year, she was selected for inclusion to the San Diego Super Lawyers® Rising Stars, a prominent accolade awarded to only 2.5 percent of lawyers in California.
