Pettit Kohn Announces New Shareholder Promotions for 2020
Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin PC, a leading civil litigation law firm, is pleased to announce that Shannon R. Finley and Janice Y. Walshok have been promoted to shareholders. Both Shannon and Janice continue the tradition of premier client service and legal professionalism that are hallmarks of Pettit Kohn.
Shannon R. Finley is a shareholder in the firm’s San Diego, California office and joined Pettit Kohn in 2014. She is a leader in the Employment Law group and represents both large and small corporate employers in the defense of claims involving allegations of workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination, as well as in large-scale wage and hour class action litigation violations. She also represents a diverse client base in the areas of retail and transportation litigation. Shannon serves on the Lawyers Club of San Diego Board of Directors. Most recently, she was selected to serve on the California Women Lawyers Board of Governors as the Affiliate Governor for Lawyers Club of San Diego. She was honored by Lawyers Club with the C. Hugh Friedman New Lawyer Award in 2019 for demonstrating leadership and professionalism in the San Diego legal community. In addition, she has been recognized as one of San Diego Super Lawyers® Rising Stars in 2019. Shannon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree graduating cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles and obtained her Juris Doctor degree at the University of San Diego Law School in 2013.
Janice Y. Walshok is a shareholder in the firm’s San Diego, California office and joined Pettit Kohn in 2017. She is a leader in the Retail and Transportation group and represents large and small corporate clients in the defense of claims involving wrongful death, serious injury, and product liability. Throughout her career, she has secured successful outcomes for clients at trial, mediation, and through dispositive motions. Janice has successfully tried cases to verdict and has argued before the Second District Court of Appeal. She has served as a board member of the San Diego Defense Lawyers and was recognized as one of San Diego Super Lawyers® Rising Stars 2015-2019. Janice received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, San Diego in 2005. She received her Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law in 2008.
