Super Lawyers® Honors Two Pettit Kohn Attorneys from Los Angeles Office

Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin is proud to announce that two of its Los Angeles attorneys have once again been recognized by Super Lawyers® and named to the 2023 Southern California Super Lawyers® list.  This is their third consecutive year of recognition since 2021.  Each year, the rigorous selection process names only the top five percent of attorneys in the Southern California region to the Super Lawyers list.

This year, the following Pettit Kohn shareholders have earned the Super Lawyers honor:

Grant D. Waterkotte is a founding shareholder at Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin.  A highly accomplished trial attorney, Grant has tried over 30 cases to verdict in California and Arizona with favorable results.  The vast majority of these trials were before a jury, with a 90% record of success.  Mr. Waterkotte’s extensive jury trial experience and exceptional results led to his induction into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).  He was also recently elevated in rank by ABOTA from “Member” to “Associate,” a designation only achieved for attorneys that have tried a minimum of 20 civil jury trials to verdict as lead counsel.  He also serves as a faculty member of the Jack Daniels’ Los Angeles ABOTA Trial School and has achieved an AV Rating, Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards.  He has also been previously recognized as a Southern California Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2010-2015.

Andrew O. Smith is a managing shareholder in the firm’s Los Angeles office.  He represents a wide range of businesses and entities in the areas of commercial, construction, and premises and product liability matters.  He has extensive trial and litigation experience and successfully manages complex cases while providing effective and cost-sensitive results for his clients.  He has also been previously recognized as a Southern California Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2008 and 2010-2015.  Mr. Smith is also active in the Los Angeles County Bar Association, as a member of the Delegation to California Conference of Bar Associations and also serving on the President’s Advisory Committee for Women in the Legal Profession.

This recognition highlights the legal expertise, professionalism, and outstanding service that they demonstrate to their clients and peers.  Congratulations to Mr. Waterkotte and Mr. Smith for their selection to the 2023 Southern California Super Lawyers listing.
