Litigation Attorneys Shannon Finley & Rachel Albert Win Summary Judgment on Employment Law Case in Los Angeles Superior Court

Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin litigation attorneys Shannon R. Finley and Rachel E. Albert successfully obtained a summary judgment in Los Angeles County Superior Court on behalf of both a family medical practice business and a supervisor for that practice.

Plaintiff initially brought suit against his former employer alleging various claims including discrimination, harassment, violation of rights under the Fair Employment and Housing Act, and wrongful termination. Claims were also brought against the supervisor as an individual.

Ms. Finley and Ms. Albert thoughtfully constructed a motion for summary judgment to demonstrate that Plaintiff could not produce any triable issues of material fact to support his claims. In addition, they established that the supervisor could not be held for individual liability for any management decisions that were allegedly considered to be discriminatory or harassing. Thus, the court granted summary judgment in favor of the client and Plaintiff’s claims against both Defendants were dismissed.
