San Diego Business Journal Recognizes Three Pettit Kohn Attorneys as Top Influential Women in Law
Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin is proud to announce that three of its attorneys have been honored by the San Diego Business Journal as 2022 “Women of Influence in Law.” Jennifer Lutz, Shannon Finley, and Christine Dixon were recognized among San Diego’s top 50 women lawyers and in-house general counsel. This list celebrates female trailblazers in law who are making a positive impact on the San Diego community.
Jennifer N. Lutz is a founding shareholder and co-chair of the firm’s Employment and Labor Department. She represents a broad spectrum of clients and prominent companies defending and advising on their most complex and important employment cases. She has secured favorable outcomes and successes in a variety of cases in state and federal courts and administrative agencies. Ms. Lutz is a widely sought out author and speaker – frequently invited to provide employment practices and employee management training and guidance for private firms, other attorneys, and professional organizations throughout California. She has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America for her work in both Employment Law – Management and in Labor and Employment Litigation; selected for inclusion in the San Diego Super Lawyers list every year since 2011; named one of San Diego’s Top 25 Women Lawyers in 2020 and a Top Lawyer by San Diego Magazine and the San Diego Business Journal’s Best of the Bar. Most recently, she was honored as a Top Attorney in San Diego Metro Magazine. Jennifer has served as Vice President of the National Human Resources Association and Vice President of Legislation for San Diego SHRM, the region’s largest organization of human resource professionals.
Shannon R. Finley is a shareholder in the San Diego office and focuses her practice on employment law. As a skilled litigator, she represents California employers in disputes ranging from single plaintiff wrongful termination cases to complex class actions. In addition, Ms. Finley provides guidance to employers advising on best practices to avoid lawsuits before they arise. Ms. Finley is a speaker and author on issues including best hiring practices, wage and hour law, discrimination, leaves of absence, and social media. She has been recognized by her peers and garnered many accolades, including recognition in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch 2021 and 2022, San Diego Super Lawyers Rising Stars 2019-2022, and the C. Hugh Friedman New Lawyer Award for her leadership and professionalism in the San Diego legal community. Most recently, she was honored as a Top Attorney in San Diego Metro Magazine. Ms. Finley is a team leader in the J. Clifford Wallace Inn of Court; Chair for the Labor & Employment Executive Committee of the San Diego County Bar Association; and she was recently elected President of Lawyers Club of San Diego, the largest specialty bar association in San Diego which is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary. She also served as an Affiliate Governor on the board of California Women Lawyers and is a scholar in the San Diego County Bar Association’s inaugural Leadership Academy.
Christine Dixon is a senior associate at Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin. She represents large and small corporate clients and handles a wide range of employment matters focusing on the defense of employers in all aspects of employment litigation. Christine has been recognized as one of San Diego Super Lawyers® Rising Stars in 2021 and 2022 and was also honored as San Diego Defense Lawyers’ Outstanding New Lawyer in 2015. In addition, she was recognized in 2021 and 2022 by Best Lawyers in America in their listing of Ones to Watch for her work in Litigation – Labor and Employment and Commercial Litigation. Ms. Dixon is a member of the San Diego Defense Lawyers Board of Directors and currently serves as the organization’s President. Ms. Dixon was honored early in her career as San Diego Defense Lawyers’ Outstanding New Lawyer. She is also a Leadership Academy Scholar with the San Diego County Bar Association and volunteers her time by judging high school and law school mock trial competitions. She earned her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law and her Bachelor of Science Degree from University of the Pacific.
