Pettit Kohn Employment Attorney Shannon Finley Provides Guidance on Landmark Supreme Court Case

Shareholder and Employment and Labor Attorney Shannon Finley was recently published in the Summer 2020 Employment Practices Liability Consultant (EPLiC), a publication by the International Risk Management Institute.  Her article, entitled “Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Discrimination: A Landmark Case Explanation and Best Practices for Compliance,” discusses the recent landmark Supreme Court opinion in Bostock v. Clayton County, Georgia (2020).  Ms. Finley provides an overview of the decision prohibiting sexual orientation and gender identity discrimination for all employers covered by Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.  She also discusses examples, best practices, and provides a compliance checklist for employers across the country impacted by the decision.
